Kate’s journey as a New Zealand hair and makeup artist started at a young age when she would get requests from her collage friends to do hair and makeup for them for events. Since making the decision to dedicate most of her adult life to hair and makeup she has acquired an amazing set of skills which enables her to achieve the highest level of perfection. Kate resides in Auckland New Zealand and is a mum to her baby boy Hugo.
Kate decided to move to New York City in 2011 for 6 months to expand her development as an artist. Her professionalism, vision & ability to understand & connect with people makes her an amazing artist to work with.
She embarked on her makeup career with Bobbi Brown Cosmetics back in 2003. She worked towards being their cosmetics manager for the Wellington store and then kept busy by being their senior freelance artist for a number of years.
She has recently worked on New Zealand Bachelor where she was 2IC for the hair, makeup and wardrobe department. She has worked on America’s Next Top Model, numerous US & NZ celebrities, Marie Claire China, New York Fashion Week 2010, New York fashion week 2011, NZFW, Esquire Magazine, OUTMagazine US, Vice magazine US, Inked US and M2 AUS & NZ, U magazine, Cake Magazine, Woman’s Weekly, Woman’s day and New Idea.
